Payment Options and Insurance

We endeavor to give as many payment options to patients as possible. We accept personal checks, cash, Visa, and MasterCard. We are also a preferred provider1 for these dental insurance companies: Washington Dental Service, Regency Blue Shield, United Concordia (TriCare Dental), Aetna, Mutual of Omaha, Principal, Primera Blue Cross, and Delta Dental.

We also accept2 the following insurance: Sigma, Met Life, Jefferson Pilots Finance, Retail Clerks, Many Others (give us a call if you have questions).

Please settle your account with Rashelle at the front desk prior to your departure from our office. Patients with an established record of prompt payment (greater than two years) may elect to be billed. Cash patients will receive a 5% discount on services if they pay in full on the date of treatment and have no outstanding past balance. Sorry, I cannot offer this discount to insurance patients.

1 Preferred Provider is a provider (dentist) who has entered into an agreement with a particular insurance company to accept a specified reimbursement amount for a particular procedure. This agreement is generally independent of any agreement you have with your insurance company regarding what is covered, at what percent, and the specifics of your co-pay.

2"Accept" in this context means that Dr. Kim's Family Dentistry can be designated as the dental insurance company's payee for dental work performed. Dr. Kim has no agreement with the insurance company concerning the reimbursement amount.
